What We Do

The Master’s Lab partners with educational institutions to make life sciences learning more practical, meaningful, and accessible for students. Through curriculum-aligned hands-on training and live demonstrations in microscopy, microbiology, molecular biology, biotechnology, and environmental biotechnology, we help students connect classroom concepts with real-world applications. Our on-campus programs also support teachers by providing structured practical exposure, while encouraging active learning beyond screens and textbooks.

About The Founder

Dr. Vignesh Kumar, Founder & CEO of The Master’s Lab, is a biotechnology expert and educator committed to nurturing young minds through meaningful and inspiring science education. Dr. Vignesh has held research positions at leading national and international institutions, including serving as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Duke University Medical Center, North Carolina, USA. In addition, he served as a Project Scientist with the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, New Delhi. By combining strong scientific foundations with hands-on exploration, he helps students build deeper understanding, think independently, and develop a genuine passion for science. With over a decade of research experience in life sciences, Dr. Vignesh brings exceptional scientific expertise, global research exposure, and a thoughtful educational approach to every learning experience he designs for students.

Environmental pollution and understanding microbes in the ecosystems

Experiments on hygiene, infection control and disease prevention

Through practical experiments on hygiene and infection control, students become aware of germ transmission mechanics, antibiotics, and prevention of infection.

DNA, RNA & Protein extraction and visualization

Explains how genetic information is stored and used in living organisms. Experiments will help students understand how living organisms function at the molecular level. 

DNA Fragmentation, Electrophoresis, and Cytogenetics

Students learn how biomolecules move through a gel and how DNA fragments are separated by size.


Students learn how bacteria can take up foreign DNA, how genes can be transferred between organisms, and how these phenomena are used in biotechnology.  

Introduction to Animal & Plant Biotechnology

Students will learn about various model systems and plant tissue culture techniques.
